We have been working for 1 year and half now and it is time to get the game into the world. That’s why this year we are setting as a goal to participate in some events to be able to get more testing experience lots of feedback and then be able to refine upon it.
We know the game is fun, we have play-tested it previously, but there is Fun, and then there is FUN. And of course one gets you further into the business of developing videogames than the other.
In Barcelona we have 2 in-person events we have previously attended as guests where we might have a chance to get into:
The 1st one is IndieDevDay, a festival that gathers developers of indie videogames from all over Spain.
The 2nd being SAGA, a festival aimed at showcasing the games from studios that are established in Catalonia and have their game in catalan.
Then, exploring the ONLINE festivals world is also well worth it:
The main target would be SteamFest, probably the most crowded videogame festival of the world, considering the amount of people that play games in them.
Then we have other options to spark visibility like: Game Dev World Championship entering as a project in development.
So this is what we are going to be doing. In terms of development this translates mainly into: polishing the multiplayer feature so we can at least play 4 people in local mode, adding awaited mechanics & polishing some bugs.
More would be nice, of course, but Boris is just finishing to get acquainted with the code and starting to implement the priority tasks, and one of my duties as a producer is to not get ahead of ourselves. To plan for it, of course, but to not let our excitement drawn us.
